In early January, our Founder, Eltayeb, delivered a lecture on human rights to more than 100 students at Zanzibar University, representing Global Rights Alliance as a fully funded international guest lecturer 🎓🌍
At the invitation of Zanzibar University’s faculty, Eltayeb travelled to Tanzania on behalf of GRA to engage with students and academic staff on core human rights principles. During the visit, he was welcomed on campus by Vice Chancellor Professor Mohammed El Hussein ✈️🤝
The lectures, titled Human Rights History Principles and Responsibility, explored the evolution of human rights from antiquity through the establishment of the United Nations, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and contemporary challenges in international human rights law 📚🇺🇳
Following the lecture, Eltayeb led an in depth Q and A session with students, who raised thoughtful and challenging questions, including on the selective application of international human rights law. The level of engagement reflected a strong interest in global human rights issues 💬🧠
Global Rights Alliance is proud to share that faculty and students at Zanzibar University have invited us to launch a GRA Campus Club, marking our first on the ground presence in Africa 🌍🌱
Plans are already underway for a return visit to support the club’s official launch.
This milestone reflects GRA’s continued growth and commitment to expanding our global educational impact 🚀✨
