The Lyon conference: Championing Youth and Human Rights,

Global Rights Alliance, in collaboration with Association ONUcly, recently brought together young minds at Université catholique de Lyon for our first international human rights conference: “Empowering the Next Generation: Youth and Human Rights in Action.”

On May 15, 2025, we created a dynamic platform where youth engaged in critical discussions, exploring the power of social media in human rights advocacy and the essential role of international human rights frameworks.

Eltayeb Bashar, Founder of Global Rights Alliance, took the stage alongside distinguished academics Aziz Mowahed and Gaetan Balan, with written contributions from Arjan Singh Rai of British South Asian Dialogue Forum. Together, they engaged in human rights discourse, moderated by GRA general secretary Precious Paul and Onucly leader Salsabila, with support from GRA collaboration director Léa Cicek.

This conference reaffirms our commitment: to empower youth to lead, collaborate, and drive change. We’re dedicated to building bridges for impactful international collaborations, amplifying the voices of young advocates worldwide.

Because we believe, together, we can create a better world.
